Online Fundraising Comes of Age

Monday May 8, 2006
The crises come fast and hard: 9/11, the Indonesian tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, the Pakistan earthquakes. The news is instantaneous and the need overwhelming.

That is why email fundraising is finding its voice. While it takes weeks to get letters written and mailed, emails can travel the world in hours. It is no wonder that nonprofits are finding their way to this new medium in droves.

Now, there is a new, easy-to-read book that covers the basics of fundraising online. Penned by Madeline Stanionis, a veteran of email campaigns by some of the largest nonprofits, this little book is aimed squarely at smaller nonprofits with limited budgets. The book's tips are priceless and easy to implement.

Raising Thousands (if Not Tens of Thousands) of Dollars with Email is part of Emerson & Church's "Real World Guides," and it has earned a preferred spot on our bookshelf.
