Mary Ellen Slayter, a career columnist for the
Washington Post, recently solicited personal stories from people working in the nonprofit sector about how they landed their jobs. The resulting
column shows the many different entrees to nonprofit work, from internships to the jump from corporate life to networking.
There is also a new book out that is a complete guide to finding the nonprofit job that is the best fit for you. It is the most engaging book I have seen on the topic. I only wish it had been available when I was job hunting. Read our review:
