Bewildered by Grant-Speak? A Couple of Grant Writers Explain All
We know that people are more afraid of public speaking than of snakes. I would venture to guess that more development officers dread grant writing even more than having to ask for a gift from a donor.
Help is here by way of a new blog about grant writing by Isaac and Jake Seliger of Seliger+Associates. The Seligers have been providing grant writing services since 1993.
The blog, titled Grant Writing Confidential, exhibits the pair's down-to-earth approach to the sometimes bewildering task of writing grant proposals. I enjoyed this blog's attempt to de-mystify the whole process, and for providing simple, easy tips that anyone can use whether they are experts or novices.
The Seligers also write in a slightly tongue-in-cheek style that eases the tension of grant writing for those of us who are sure the big bad foundation is just looking for an excuse to humiliate us.
