  • We can't stop buying stuff but now we can make sure we buy only from companies that are relatively "good." Scryve.com is a site that rates companies in terms of how socially responsible they are. Download their web tool and when you land on a website, you will see the rating that company has from Scryve and why.

  • March 22 is World Water Day. Many believe that water will become more precious than oil in coming years. You can learn about the water crisis and solutions at the Good Happens blog.

  • The Stanford Social Innovation Review has a great blog posting called "Do You Have Nonprofit Navel-Gazing Syndrome?" It provides four things to look for in your organization's newsletter to diagnose this dreaded problem and provides some tips on curing it.

  • IssueLab gathers and publishes research by and about nonprofits. Right now the site features a report titled "CloseUp on Youth Media." Youth are more socially aware and way more active than ever before. Thanks to Web 2.0 tools, youth can create their own media and participate in public life. This year's presidential campaign is a good example of high interest by youth in politics.
