Getting Real About Grant Writing

Monday June 22, 2009

Arlene Spencer of The Grant Plant blogs about "What Grant Writing Is, and What It Is Not...."

Spencer says grants, among other things:

  • are not a short term solution...in other words don't think you'll survive the recession by starting a grants program tomorrow.
  • are a team effort, so don't think hiring a grant writer, who, working alone, will get you a grant by Friday.
  • should not be an organization's only source of income. Diversification is the key to funding.

Read the rest of this 10-item list. Spencer knows of what she speaks, and she speaks it well.
