If ever there was a year to make your Valentine a gift for good, it's this year. Here are four ways to celebrate Valentine's Day while doing a world of good.
- Support Haiti for Valentine's Day by buying the Hope for Haiti Now album through the iTunes store. You can also buy individual tracks of your favorite artists who performed during the telethon. All of your purchase price goes to help Haiti.
- Buy a $20 e-card for your lover and give someone somewhere clean water for 20 years. Charity:Water does just one thing: finding and bringing clean water to people around the world. You can help.
- Make that gift of flowers work for good by ordering the Valentine's bouquet that sends money to the ASPCA. Rescue an animal while making your sweetheart happy.
- Do something about real hearts. Parent Heart Watch educates parents, teachers and coaches about the not so rare threat of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in children. Do your part by helping educate or by donating to this crucial cause.

Likely too late for this Valentine’s Day, but here’s an opportunity for any nonprofit wishing to do some fundraising with their database folks to earn money while friends of org buy all natural, delicious fudge. Family business, all made in small batches, family likes to have their business help good causes. Great idea for Mother’s Day maybe? Contact saustown@aol.com.
Thanks for this! I like the Charity:Water idea.
