My RSS reader was pretty thin over the holiday weekend, but someone at Mashable posted this cute infographic that details 12 improvements you can make to your website, using the 12 Days of Christmas. Check out these stats and suggestions...they work just as well for nonprofits as for business sites. For instance, did you know that 60% of people can't find what they are looking for once they're on a particular site? Better navigation is one fix you can make.

Do you follow the Nonprofit Facebook Guy? It's really John Haydon in one of his many guises. I love the quick tips about the in's and out's of using FB for nonprofits. Here is How to edit the title and descriptions of your Facebook Page updates. A simple thing, but it can make a big difference in the appeal of your updates when you share links and articles with your organization's supporters.

Honestly, Oxfam has had the most ubiquitous holiday giving campaign this year and one of the most creative. Here Raymund Flandez, writing at the Chronicle of Philanthropy explains how Oxfam America Spurs Holiday Gifts With 'cheeky?' Campaign. The video Flandez comments on is only part of Oxfam's campaign, but it is emblematic of its humor and fun.

I hope your year-end appeals have The power of YES, as explained by Jeff Brooks at his Future Fundraising Now blog. Jeff says, "It's easier to say yes if you've recently said yes. It's harder to say yes if you've just said no. Successful fundraising builds a momentum of yes. It starts with easy yeses and works its way toward, 'Yes, I'll give!'"

It may be too late for this year, but you'll want to keep this article from the Inspiring Generosity blog at Razoo, HOW TO: Make the Most of December 31. On this checklist are "Create a Giving Avenue" and "Host a Year-End Giving Day." Do you have a swipes file for year-end-giving? Put this post in there.

Got resolutions for the new year? Add one or two of these free January webinars for nonprofits, happily listed for us at Wild Apricot. I've got my eye on "Earned Income 101 for Nonprofit" and "How to Master B2B Social Media Marketing."

Kathi Jawarski, writing at The Nonprofit Quarterly comments on The Habit of Giving. Kathi discusses several initiatives that aim to making charitable giving habitual rather than episodic. Kathi writes, "It is said that it takes three weeks of daily repetition to establish a new habit, and this dynamic shapes several new web-based philanthropic challenges that have launched just in time for holiday giving and New Year's resolutions."
