For the fifth year, Subaru is holding its "Share the Love" social media campaign. Two new charities will be added to the company's current roster of partner charities.

The company invites Facebook fans to vote for the new charities that will join its current list of three charities that will receive a cut of every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased November 21st to Jan 2nd. Each sale or lease results in $250 (up to $5 million) that will be donated to Subaru's designated charities.

To date the company has donated almost $20 million to charities that include the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), Make-A-Wish, and Meals On Wheels Association of America.

The 2012 "People's Choice" charitable candidates are:

  • The Alzheimer's Association
  • American Forests
  • First Book
  • Leave No Trace
  • Special Olympics
  • USO

Voting is open Aug. 6-26 and fans may vote daily at Subaru Share the Love Event.
