Following is an example of an actual letter received from a nonprofit thanking a donor for a gift. The gift was made online, and the donor received a brief email thank you, followed within two weeks by this mailed letter. I like the way this letter connects with women's issues and specifies the connection between economic opportunity and general well being. It would be even stronger if it included a brief story of how the organization benefitted one particular woman.
