Do we have to pay celebrities for appearing in our PSA?

By , About.com Guide

Question: Do we have to pay celebrities for appearing in our PSA?
Answer: Two unions govern performers: SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and AFTRA (American Federation of Television & Radio Artists). To avoid abuse of their members SAG requires at least the minimum fee for a performer's time plus pension and health benefit fees. In return the performer/s may waive additional payment for one year.

For more info see the Aftra and Sag sites and/or contact them directly.
