Vessels for Charity - Self Funding Clay Art Projects

Following recent news headlines that charitable giving is down and the need for humanitarian aid at an all time high, philanthropist/artist Richard Sean Manning, and his business partner LaUra, have co-founded a not for profit called Vessels for Charity Foundation, Inc.

The main goal is to raise money for recognized 501c3 charities to aid in humanitarian relief and other good causes, through the sale of ceramic art crafted by students.

As the saying goes, charity starts at home, but have you noticed how small the world is getting.

The One Very Best Thing About Your Cause

An added incentive is to plant the seeds of a global consciousness into the next generation to be active participants in charitable giving from their own hands.

Natural disasters get closer and closer and have a way of impacting on all of us, in one way or another. If we don't step up to the plate to help others, we can't expect to be helped if we are ever in need.

Sean and LaUra have co-produced The ClayMan Series with Sean teaching students step by step how to craft vessels for charity.

This teaching tool is offered free of charge to educators for the benefit of teaching students in K thru 12, universities, art centers, clay guilds, libraries and museums with outreach programs.

Students will have fun by viewing The ClayMan Series, being produced in age appropriate segments. They will learn how to craft Vessels for Charity and about the charity they are pledging their VFC Clay Project to raise funds for.

Vessels for Charity will be sold through family and friends fundraisers for a small donation.

Proceeds will fund a donation to a 501c3 charity of choice, clay supplies and VFC Scholarship funds which students may be eligible for. All students will receive a VFC e-certificate for community service.

When funding for the arts is being cut Vessels for Charity offers a self funding clay art project that costs nothing but a desire to make it personal to make a difference.
