Name of Your Cause
KennysKids at The Soaring Eagle Ranch
Kenny’s Kids, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit formed to help Special Needs Children and Abused Children.
You can a video about us at YouTube by typing in Soaring Eagle Ranch.
We will bring hope to these children and their families using fun, love and financial aid.
The One Very Best Thing About Your Cause
Our son has a rare form of MD and is confined to bed or wheelchair and on a vent.
Yet he wants to do this to help others have the "good life" he has had with love and hope. It is his mission and dream to help others and we are going to make it happen. There is so little for these kids to do to have fun, most just live a life with television at best. We want to give them an experience that they have never had and to lead them to know that people love them and they can explore other things in life to live their life to the fullest and feel that love.
They will get, as fully as possible, a true Texas experience, with a mini-cattle drive, chuck wagon cooking, music, western plays and fellowship. They can go home thinking not only what a day, but life is good and I am going to participate in it and enjoy each day. People care about me and love me.
Advice
- Visit KennysKids
- Let us know about children who can possibly come to the ranch and enjoy the experience
- Tell your friends about us (and ask them to tell their friends) and to vote the Pepsi contest
- We would love your online donations, no matter how small just so we can add names to our friends list. Kenny loves to see new names and we think it will encourage the other kids that become members and "honorary deputy sheriffs."
- We are just getting started with the construction phase, and any suggestions would be appreciated.
Why My Cause Is So Important
Special Needs Kids need more fun and love in their lives. We are at a special time in that if we win the Pepsi Grant, we can finish all the construction at the ranch and start the events on a full scale. We also believe the exposure will help us with giving aid to the families in the future.
How I Got Involved With My Cause
Gaye Karr introduced me to her son Kenny Strong almost two years ago and I fell in love with both of them. Gaye is my finance. She shared their dream with me, and it became part of me. With my background in business and working with charities, I knew I could make this dream a reality. I am "all in."
